Vision for Education are currently working alongside a range of Special Educational Needs schools in Oldham looking for 1:1 Teaching Assistants.

The Role

  • You will be expected to provide support to students with a range of special education needs and disabilities in the classroom on a 1:1 basis
  • You will need to be confident and able to work independently to support learning and facilitate each student’s development in a progressive way
  • We will be looking for someone with the right personality and skill set to support young people in fulfilling their best protentional
  • There are opportunities for the role to become permanent with the school after a qualifying period

About the school

  • We support a range of inclusive and well-established SEN schools in Oldham that cater for primary and secondary aged students
  • Students are placed in classes based on their ability as well as their age
  • Class sizes are small with a high staff to pupil ratio
  • You will have the opportunity to work closely with staff, parents, and carers to ensure the pupils you support are engaged in learning

Requirements

To be considered for the role of 1:1 Teaching Assistant you will:
  • Have a confident, positive, and caring personality
  • Have a desire to work with children with special educational needs and disabilities
  • Be willing to work in Oldham

Salary

£350 to £400 per week

Salary is dependent on experience, training or qualifications. The minimum experience, training or qualifications required for this position are:
  • Have relevant experience of working with children and young people
