The School and Role
We're looking for a 1:1 Teaching Assistant to support a student with SEMH needs based in a mainstream primary school in Altrincham. The 1:1 Teaching Assistant would work consistently with the student towards desired outcomes and support them to participate with class based activities. You will work closely with the class teacher, SENCO, and other support staff to develop and implement strategies tailored to the student’s needs. The 1:1 Teaching Assistant role is long term and full time.
Requirements
The desired 1:1 Teaching Assistant will have:
- Experience of working with pupils with SEMH needs
- An ability to help children overcome barriers to learning
- An ability lead 1:1 and small group sessions
- A passion for building confidence, aspirations and positive behaviours
