ALN Teaching Assistant

About the Role:
This is a fulfilling and dynamic position where you’ll support children with a variety of additional learning needs. Working within mainstream schools in Monmouth, you’ll help to create an inclusive and nurturing learning environment through one-to-one support, small group work, and collaboration with teaching staff.
Key Responsibilities:

Provide 1:1 and small group support to children with ALN in classroom settings.

Assist with lesson preparation and facilitate learning activities tailored to pupils' needs.

Foster independence while offering personal care when required.

Promote positive behaviour and a calm, inclusive learning space.

Build strong relationships with pupils, families, and school staff.

Support learners to get the most from their educational experience in a mainstream environment.

A patient, kind, and empathetic individual passionate about supporting children’s development.

Experience with ALN, behavioural challenges, or a strong willingness to learn.

A valid driving licence and access to transport is desirable but not essential.
