You will be working within a friendly and supportive team of pastoral care specialists, collaboratively looking at new approaches and ideas in ways to improve student attendance across Key stages 3, 4 and 5.
About the role
This is a supply role, however will be working full time on behalf of one school in Barnsley to support the integral Attendance Team. The role of the attendance officer can vary day to day, from providing pastoral support both within and outside of the school setting, to initiating exciting new attendance incentives and creating a bridge for students who require support with raising attendance.

Requirements
- • Have a minimum of 6 months experiencing working within a school or similar role.
- • Have a genuine desire to become part of a committed team of Pastoral Support members.
- • Have a passion for working with students in a pastoral role.
- • Have a sound knowledge and understanding of child protection and Safeguarding. Minimum Level 2 required completed within the last 12 months. Online training can be provided by Vision for Education if not held or is out of date.

£425 to £450 per week
