The role
Vision for Education is currently recruiting a Behaviour Mentor to join a Primary school in Leeds (LS26) to start on a Full-Time basis. Working in this Primary school as part of an established team, the desired Behaviour Mentor will be working on a small group or 1:1 basis in supporting pupils with SEMH and SEN needs. The desired candidate will need to have had significant experience supporting with children with SEMH needs and a real desire to make a difference. You will support pupils in class as well as implement individual behaviour plans (SEMH plans) set by the SENCO and fellow members of the pastoral team.

This school has a ‘good’ Ofsted rating and is a two-form school. It is at the heart of the community with inclusivity at the centre of everything they do.

Requirements
The desired Behaviour Mentor will:

  • Be a role model to all
  • Be able to de-escalate challenging situations
  • Be proactive and support the engagement of pupils
  • Be confident to deliver activities 1 to 1 and a small group basis
  • Have a DBS on the Update Service
