Vision for Education are recruiting for enthusiastic and positive Behaviour Support Mentor's to work within specialized provisions around the Newcastle Upon Tyne Local Authority.
About the role
The successful candidates will be working with some of the areas most disengaged young learners, who will have a diagnosis of Social, Emotional and Mental Health. The role of a Behaviour Support Mentor is to work alongside the students in achieving behaviour targets, and to make sure the students health and well-being needs are met, as well as being academically supported.
About the school
The school caters for KS3 and KS4 students who all have a diagnosis of Social, Emotional and Mental Health. The successful candidates will be stepping into a motivated driven staff team.
Requirements
- Have experience working with students with SEMH.
- Have experience dealing with challenging and unpredictable behaviours.
- Have a calm and compassionate approach to supporting individuals with needs.
- Have previous experience working in Education or Care.
About Vision for Education
Salary
£300 to £400 per week
- Relevant experience.
