You will be working within a friendly and supportive team of pastoral care specialists, collaboratively looking at new approaches and ideas in ways to improve student behaviour across Key stages 3, 4 and 5.
About the role
This is a supply role, however will be working full time on behalf of one school in Barnsley to support students both inside and outside of the classroom. The main role of a behaviour support worker is to have the ability to de-escalate crisis, having a calm and caring nurture towards the needs and struggles of young people, and to provide a professional supportive environment for students to be able to rectify their behaviours and re-integrate into their lessons smoothly.

Salary
£375 to £400 per week
- • Have a minimum of 6 months experiencing working within a school or similar role.
- • Have a genuine desire to become part of a committed team of Pastoral Support members.
- • Have a passion for working with students in a pastoral role.
- • Have a sound knowledge and understanding of child protection and Safeguarding. Minimum Level 2 required completed within the last 12 months. Online training can be provided by Vision for Education if not held or is out of date.
