Vision for Education is seeking a Behaviour Teacher KS3&4 to work in a local Pupil Referral Unit in Thirsk starting in April.

About the role

Teaching in a supportive and friendly specialist setting, with children aged 11 to 16 who require additional support with Attention Deficit, Hyperactivity Disorder, Social Emotional and Mental Health challenges.

The specialist schools cater for students in with communication and interaction problems, learning difficulties, social or emotional issues. The schools offer brilliant facilities and resources, and the staff pride themselves on their child-centred approach. Most schools we work with have excellent public transport links, but access to a vehicle would be advantageous.

Requirements

To be considered for the role of Behaviour Teacher you will:
  • To be considered for the Behaviour Teacher KS3&4 role you must: • Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or Newly Qualified Teaching Status (NQT) • Hold a driving licence, which would be preferred, but not essential. • A DBS Certificate is an advantage but not essential, this can be arranged. • Confident de-escalating challenging situations. Training would be an advantage but not essential. Vision for Education is committed to safeguarding children and young people. We take our responsibilities extremely seriously. All staff we register will undertake thorough interviewing and referencing checks and hold, or be prepared to undergo, an Enhanced DBS check that must be registered on the Update Service.

Salary

£95 to £130 per hour

Salary is dependent on experience, training or qualifications. The minimum experience, training or qualifications required for this position are:
