Classroom Support Assistant (Mainstream)

Full Time (Monday – Friday) (Temporary – Permanent)

£444.60 - £524.90 Per Week

Start date: Monday 28th April 2025 – Immediate start dates available

Working hours: 08:30am - 15:30pm

The Role & Schools requirements:

Working closely with children and young people with complex needs including autism spectrum disorders (ASD), attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), physical disabilities, social emotional and mental health (SEMH) and emotional behavioural difficulties (EBD). You will be working within a strong team of staff, supporting one another in the workplace. You must have a passion for education and a motivation to provide a good level of learning and development to students in a classroom environment. The school located in Lancaster work tirelessly for their students and was recently rated ‘Good’ by Ofsted. As a classroom support assistant, the school would require you to be supporting the classroom teacher by providing individual or small group assistance to students, helping with lesson preparation and delivery, managing classroom behaviour, and generally ensuring a positive learning environment for all pupils.

The ideal candidate will have:

• Experience of working with individuals with Special Educational Needs.
• Be a resilient and trustworthy worker with a passion for education.
• An ability to work as part of a strong team and support others where necessary.
• To be highly motivated, adaptable, committed and enthusiastic within the workplace.
• Access to a car or easy public transport routes.
