Classroom Support Assistant - SEN/SEMH/Challenging Behaviour
Hours: Full time - Monday to Friday 8:30am - 3:30pm
Location: Portsmouth
Start date: ASAP / After Easter
Pay: £90 per day
The desired Classroom Support Assistant will have;
- Experience of working in an educational setting
- Experience of working with pupils with SEND/SEMH/challenging behaviour
- A passion for the progress of pupils
- An ability to work as part of a team
- Full driving license
The School and Role
An Alternative Provision school based in Portsmouth are currently seeking a Teaching Assistant to start as soon as possible. The school caters for primary and secondary aged pupils with social, emotional, and mental health needs, as well as challenging behaviour. The successful Classroom Support Assistant will be required to work 1-1 or in small classes, assisting pupils academically as well as overcoming barriers to learning and supporting them emotionally.
