About the school

The school and role:

A happy, thriving, oversubscribed and growing special school for children and young people aged 4 -19 with severe and complex learning difficulties including those with an additional diagnosis of autism and/or physical/sensory disabilities. The school is committed to supporting all of our learners to achieve and enjoy and be stimulated and challenged to fulfil their potential. Our well qualified and dedicated staff have high expectations of their learners, and have the highest expectations of ourselves. The School are looking to recruit for a number of Teaching Assistant vacancies across their Primary and Secondary sites.

The school curriculum is designed to meet the needs of the learners and remains flexible so the school can provide bespoke learning opportunities. The team bring a wealth of experience and through our academic, social, and therapeutic curricula, supporting learning for all. With the support of the E-ACT Trust, we can work with colleagues to ensure our learners have access to a wide range of specialists.

Requirements

To be considered for the role of SEND Teaching Assistant you will:

  • DBS on the update service

Salary is dependent on experience, training or qualifications. The minimum experience, training or qualifications required for this position are:

  • Experience working within a SEND setting
