About the role

Vision for Education are on the hunt for an enthusiastic and dedicated Teacher of ICT/Computing to join a highly supportive SEND school team.

The school is a supportive and inclusive SEND setting, catering for pupils aged 7–16 with Autism and Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs. The school is highly committed to providing a high-quality education tailored to the individual needs of every pupil, enabling them to achieve their full potential in a safe, nurturing and engaging environment.

The Role

  • Plan and deliver engaging ICT/Computing lessons tailored to meet the diverse needs of pupils with SEND.
  • Adapt teaching strategies and resources to ensure all learners can access the curriculum.
  • Support pupils to develop digital literacy, computing skills, independence and confidence.
  • Monitor, assess and report on pupil progress in line with individual learning goals and EHCP outcomes.
  • Create a positive, inclusive and nurturing classroom environment.
  • Promote effective use of technology across the curriculum.
  • Contribute to safeguarding, wellbeing and the personal development of all pupils.

    We are looking for someone who:
  • Is a qualified teacher (PGCE/QTS/QTLS essential).
  • Experience teaching ICT/Computing or a related subject.
  • Knowledge of, or willingness to develop expertise in, SEND education.
  • Understanding of SEMH.
  • Is patient, resilient, and creative in their approach to teaching.
  • Has strong behaviour-support skills.
  • Can work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.

To be considered for the role, you will:

  • Have a suitable qualification, (QTS/QTLS essential).
  • Have experience of working with children with special education needs and disabilities.
  • Be confident in your abilities and skills to promote happy and confident learners.
  • Able to obtain suitable references and a DBS check.

Salary is dependent on experience, training or qualifications.
