About the Role:

Vision for Education is seeking a dedicated and passionate English Teacher to join the team at this wonderful Secondary school in Faversham. The ideal candidate will inspire and engage students from Key Stages 3 to 5, helping them develop strong literacy skills and a love for English language and literature. Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan, prepare, and deliver high-quality English lessons aligned with the national curriculum.
  • Foster a stimulating learning environment that promotes student engagement and confidence.
  • Monitor and assess student progress, providing timely feedback and tailored support.
  • Manage classroom behaviour effectively, ensuring a positive and respectful learning atmosphere.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to enhance the English department's curriculum and extra-curricular activities.
  • Attend staff meetings, training sessions, and parent-teacher meetings as required.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent, with a specialisation in English.
  • Previous teaching experience at secondary school level (Key Stage 3 to Key Stage 5).
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to engage students of varying abilities.
  • A genuine passion for teaching English and a commitment to student success.
  • Strong organisational skills and a proactive approach to lesson planning.
  • Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to undergo one) is essential.
