The role
Vision for Education is currently recruiting a Family Support Worker to join a Primary school in Leeds to start on a Full-Time basis (37 hours). Working in this Primary school as part of an established team, the desired Family Support Worker will engage with young people and their families to co-ordinate and provide early intervention and family support, including attendance. You will also provide intensive targeted intervention to prevent breakdown of relationships with the school, young person and their family alongside other key agencies and partners i.e. Learning Mentors, SENCO, Outreach Workers, Attendance Officers, Social Care, Connexions, Youth Service and Educational Psychologist.

This school has a ‘good’ Ofsted rating and is a kind, caring and calm environment with very warm and friendly seniot leaders, teachers and pupils. It is at the heart of the community with inclusivity at the centre of everything they do.

Requirements
The desired Family Support Worker will:

• Be a role model to all
• Manage a caseload as directed by the Attendance Team.
• Engage and consult with parents/carers of young people in school to promote early intervention, high quality parenting
• Keep records and appropriate documentation pertaining to any contact and work with children, young people and families.
• Have a DBS on the Update Service
