About the role

As a General Cover Teacher, you will deliver pre-set lessons across a variety of subjects in the absence of the regular classroom teacher. You will ensure continuity of learning, maintain a positive classroom environment, and uphold high standards of behaviour.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver pre-prepared lessons across a range of subjects at Key Stages 3 and 4
  • Maintain a focused and productive learning environment
  • Manage classroom behaviour in line with school policies
  • Support students in completing set work
  • Adapt to different school settings and classroom environments
  • Provide feedback to teaching staff on student progress and behaviour
