Vision for Education is looking to appoint a Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join our successful supply team and work in an SEN setting in Blackburn.
About the role
Starting from April 2022, you will be working as part of a dynamic and creative team in an SEN setting. You will be providing PPA cover and general support in all key stages from Year 4 to Year 11. Previous experience supporting SEND children is essential. This role will be full time, Monday to Friday, 8.30am to 3.30pm and some lunchtime duties may be needed.
About the school
The school is a main provider in the area for students who struggle to work in a mainstream school.
At Key Stage 2 & 3, the focus is on supporting young people to return to a mainstream school. At Key Stage 4, they focus on providing the opportunity for students to gain qualifications on par with mainstream schools and with the skills needed to ensure a successful transition to college, training or employment.
Pupils are taught in small groups, where they study the core curriculum and receive the extra support they require. Students are then able to make good progress as staff can ensure that learning is tailored to individual student needs.
