The School and Role:

We are recruiting for an experienced HLTA (Higher Level Teaching Assistant) for a primary school in Dewsbury to support across all key stages.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a confident individual who can step into a leadership role within the classroom and support teaching and learning across the school.


Key Responsibilities:
• Lead whole-class sessions in the absence of the teacher
• Deliver targeted interventions across KS1 and KS2
• Support lesson planning and assessment
• Mentor and support other teaching assistants


Requirements:
• HLTA qualification or equivalent experience (Level 6/Relevant Degree in Childhood Studies)
• Strong classroom management and leadership skills
• Experience across primary key stages

The ideal candidate will:

  • Have experience working with children
  • Be patient, nurturing, and committed to supporting pupil development
  • Demonstrate excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • Be adaptable with a positive “can-do” attitude
  • Be confident supporting both individual learning and wider classroom activities
