About the role
The aim of this role is to take responsibility for the leadership and management of teaching and curriculum within the 13 - 16 programme, providing a model of professional practice.
As Centre Manager, the successful candidate will take on the overall leadership and management of the provision, working closely with the Headteacher to play a key role in the development of its core operations.

Working within this independent school, its core mission is to improve the lives and education of disadvantaged young people who have a range of Special Educational Needs, predominately Social, Emotional and Mental Health needs. Their overall mission is to support and facilitate the successful reintegration of pupils back into a structured education environment where they will remain for the long term or be supported and transitioned to the next school.
They are looking for a dedicated Learning Centre Manager to join their team. You will have a true passion for supporting and leading other staff members in order to ensure that the best possible education experience is provided.
Requirements
- Teaching qualification, with QTS or QTLS (essential)
- Responsibility for the operational management of a training/ educational provision (desirable)
- Responsibility for financial performance within a training/ educational provision (desirable)
- Responsibility for developing, monitoring, and evaluating an aspect of school provision (desirable)
- Proven record of rigorous performance management of teaching staff and achieving outstanding results (desirable)
Key responsibilities
- To work closely with the Headteacher, other teachers, tutors, and support staff, in order to achieve high standards of student behaviour, engagement and achievement
- To lead on the operational and day-to-day management of the teaching programmes
- To line manage other teachers and support staff
- To work with the other centre staff to assess and update student needs and progress, working towards successful reintegration to mainstream and/or positive post-16 pathways
- To establish strong links with other schools, agencies and settings to ensure appropriate and effective curriculum delivery

Salary
£28,000 to £30,000 per year
