Vision for Education are part of the UK’s fastest growing education recruitment company. We specialise in temporary and permanent placements for teachers and support staff across England within 16 locations. Due to further expansion, we are seeking a Payroll Administrator.

About the role

This is a full-time, permanent position starting as soon as possible at our Sheffield office. Reporting to the Payroll Manager, this role will support the facilitation of an efficient and effective payroll service to internal and external payrolls.

The post holder will be responsible for the processing of employee data, ensuring the accuracy of timesheets, computing wages, and ensuring employees are paid correctly and on time. This is a varied role so the ideal person will have a diverse range of skills and experience.

Key responsibilities:

  • Processing of new starter information
  • Entering P45/new starter information
  • Creation of new accounts within the payroll system
  • Checking of information
  • Answering calls
  • Monitoring and responding to emails
  • Liaising with branches to obtain information
  • Dealing with invoice queries
  • Problem solving
  • Running and checking weekly reports
  • Adhering to deadlines
  • Raising P45s

Requirements

To be considered for the role of Payroll Administrator you will:
  • Payroll experience – PREFERRED
  • Minimum: GCSE English and Maths to Grade C (or equivalent)
  • Experience within a recruitment setting – PREFERRED
  • Experience within an education setting – PREFERED
  • Calm, self-motivated and customer orientated
  • Good organisational and time management skills
  • Ability to responding to queries (verbal and written) effectively and efficiently, providing detailed responses
  • Good attention to detail
  • Ability to work with verbal and numerical issues
  • Proactive, conscientious and has a can-do attitude
  • Be a team player and able to work independently

Salary is dependent on experience, training or qualifications. The minimum experience, training or qualifications required for this position are:
