We are seeking to appoint two PEP Advisors to work for looked after children. Taking responsibility for a case load of children, you will take the lead in ensuring they receive the best possible educational experience.
About the role
This will involve teaching and direct intervention, supporting staff in schools, ensuring all statutory educational requirements are fulfilled and liaising closely between cares, schools and colleagues within the Authority.
We are looking for someone with significant experience of working with vulnerable learners who can demonstrate a successful track record of improving academic outcomes through working collaboratively.

About the school
The school is responsible for improving educational outcomes for looked after children, previously looked after children and children with a social worker. The school brings together information about the children and young people they care for as if they were in a single school allowing them to track pupils' progress, and make sure they're getting the help and support they need.
Requirements
- Previous experience working directly with vulnerable children in an education setting.
- An understanding of the effect of trauma and attachment on the education of looked after children.
- Ability to communicate effectively with children, their families/carers, and other professionals.
- Experience of strategies to motivate and engage vulnerable children and young people.

Salary
£28,000 to £32,000 per year
