We are currently seeking additional Teaching Assistants to work in a SEN setting in Bude. The role is full time and could be temp-perm for the right person.

About the role

We are seeking a supportive, nurturing, creative and inspirational teaching assistants who can provide an individualised and highly personalised learning. Vision also offer a range of full time, part time and ad hoc supply work across SEND schools and PRU’s.

The role is in a specialist setting catering to pupils with a broad range of SEND 'needs' including SLD, PMLD, Learning and Sensory Needs, Neurodiversity, Social, Emotional and Mental Health Needs. Children are likely to be working at levels below those typically expected for their age.

Requirements

To be considered for the role of SEN Teaching Assistant (PMLD) you will:

Have experience of hoisting/moving and handling of service users
Have previous experience of working with children or young people; ideally within a school, nursery, childcare, youth work, play or care setting within the last 2 years.
Hold, or be prepared to undergo an Enhanced DBS, registered to the Update Service
Have recent experience obtained within the last 2 years, of working with children or young people, ideally within a school, nursery, childcare, youth work, play or care setting. We must be able to obtain references from these roles.
