About the role
Vision for Education are working with a local primary school in Blackburn who are looking to recruit a Primary PPA Cover Teacher to prepare and deliver activities to whole classes in the absence of the teacher, during the teacher’s PPA time.
To become a Primary PPA Cover Teacher, you will need to hold QTS status or equivalent. You must also have experience teaching KS1 and/or KS2, with sound knowledge of the Primary curriculum and reading and phonics schemes which are currently used in schools. The school we're recruiting for are looking for somebody who has high expectations and a proven track record of raising attainment and is responsive to the whole school ethos of wanting the best for every child.
The role is set to commence shortly after the Easter half-term and is expected to run up until the end of the academic year. Although for the ideal candidate, the school is willing to make the role permanent for the ideal candidate. The role will be part-time Monday - Wednesday from 9am to 15:30pm (term-time only).

Requirements
- Must hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
- Have experience working as a Primary School Teacher teaching KS1 and/or KS2.
- Have a sound knowledge of the Primary curriculum and reading and phonics schemes which are currently used in schools.
- Have high expectations and a proven track record of raising attainment.
- Have a passion for engaging children in a fun, exciting and engaging manner.
- Have excellent behaviour management skills.
- Have a genuine interest to become part of a committed team.
About Vision for Education
Salary
£120 to £190 per day
- Must hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
