A nurturing, friendly ‘child-centred’ school are seeking a Primary Teacher for a Reception Class from the 28th October 2024 until the end of the academic year. The vacancy is to cover a maternity leave, although there is a strong likelihood that contracts will extend into the following year.

The school is 3-form entry in size, and boasts spacious grounds within a residential hub of Walthamstow. Set on the ground floor, the outside space is both calming and aesthetically pleasing. Classrooms here are ‘open-plan’ in style.

Children here are well-behaved, respectful , and staff are supportive and encouraging. The Headteacher and Deputy Head are approachable, and hold staff welfare within high regard.

Within the EYFS are a good number of Learning support staff, to support the above average level of children with SEND . A Primary Teacher with an ‘inclusive’ approach to teaching will be needed here.

Parking is available , with the closest transport links being Walthamstow Queens road and Walthamstow central station.

Requirements

The desired Primary Teacher will have:

- QTS

- A fully enhanced DBS registered to the update service, along with 2 professional references

- Experience of Teaching EYFS
