About the role

Primary Teaching Assistant – Stoke-on-Trent | Flexible Supply & Long-Term Roles

Vision for Education are recruiting Primary Teaching Assistants to work across welcoming primary schools in Stoke-on-Trent, Hanley, and surrounding areas.

With schools already planning for September, demand is building for reliable Teaching Assistants looking for flexible supply work, short-term bookings, or long-term placements.

Whether you're an experienced TA, HLTA, or have strong classroom support experience, we’d love to hear from you.

The Role

As a Primary Teaching Assistant, you may:

• Support pupils across KS1 and KS2 classrooms
• Deliver 1:1 support and small-group interventions
• Assist children with additional needs, including SEND where required
• Support behaviour, engagement, and learning outcomes
• Work closely with class teachers and school staff
• Help create a safe, positive, and inclusive classroom environment

What We’re Looking For

To be considered, you will ideally have:

• Experience working with children in a school, education, or similar setting
• A Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification, HLTA status, or relevant classroom experience
• Confidence supporting learning, behaviour, and pupil engagement
• An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)
• A reliable, professional, and adaptable approach
