The School and Role

This large, welcoming, co-educational secondary school in Kensington, Liverpool, is seeking to appoint a highly driven and compassionate Reflection Center Manager to oversee the school’s isolation center. This is a full-time role, starting immediately after the Christmas break and is ongoing until the end of the academic year, with the potential of it becoming permanent for the right candidate. The successful candidate must have experience in a school setting, preferably in a pastoral or behavioral management role. One of the main duties is to lead and manage the Reflection Center, ensuring a calm and structured environment to support student behavior improvement and re-integration into lessons.

Responsibilities

  • Managing the day-to-day operations of the Reflection Center, including supervising students referred for behavior-related incidents.
  • Developing and implementing strategies to help students reflect on their behavior and re-engage positively with school life.
  • Working closely with teaching staff, Heads of Year, and the Senior Leadership Team to support students effectively.
  • Maintaining detailed records of student attendance and behavior while in the Reflection Center.
  • Supporting students with targeted interventions, including behavior action plans and restorative practices.
  • Liaising with parents and carers to communicate behavior concerns and progress.
  • Delivering and tracking tailored pastoral and behavioral support for identified students.

Requirements

The desired Reflection Center Manager will have;

- Experience of working in a school setting

- Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to engage positively with students, staff, and parents.

- Have, or be prepared to undergo an Enhanced DBS check
