£14 - £16 (per hour) - Salary is depending on experience and/or qualifications.
Vision for Education are recruiting for a School Administrator for a SEND school in West Derby. The role is full time (Monday to Friday) working 8am - 3pm with the availabilty to work flexible hours if needed and could result in a permanent contract from the setting, The ideal candidate will have previous administrative experience and desirably have AVA ID experience, preferably within an educational setting. This role is critical in ensuring that our school's administrative functions are handled efficiently, allowing our staff to focus on delivering the best education and care to our students.
Requirements
To be considered for the School Administrator position, the school have asked for:

- Someone who may have experience with supporting people with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities

Roles and responsibilities as a School Administrator:
- Manage the school’s front office, including greeting visitors, answering phones, and handling inquiries.
- Maintain accurate student records and update databases as required.
- Handle attendance records and report absences in line with school policies.
- Assist in the preparation of reports, correspondence, and communications for staff, parents, and external agencies.
- Support the management of school finances, including processing invoices and handling petty cash.
- Coordinate meetings, prepare agendas, and take minutes when required.
- Ensure compliance with school policies and procedures, particularly in relation to safeguarding and data protection.
- Provide administrative support to the SEN team and other staff members as needed.
- Assist with the organization of school events, trips, and extracurricular activities.
Key Requirements for a School Administrator:
- Previous administrative experience is essential, preferably within an educational or SEN setting.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritise effectively.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and familiarity with school management software (e.g., SIMS) is desirable.
- A positive and proactive attitude, with a genuine passion for working within an SEN environment.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- High levels of discretion and the ability to handle sensitive information confidentially.
