A Hartlepool secondary school has recently launched a new in-house catering service and is now seeking to appoint a Kitchen/Catering Assistant to support the catering team.
About the role
The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate excellent catering and customer service skills.
Main Responsibilties:
- To maintain the highest possible standards of customer service to students, staff and visitors.
- To carry out instructions received from Assistant Cook/Chef Manager.
- To complete basic food preparation & cooking e.g. sandwiches, salads, vegetables.
- Wash dishes, cutlery, tumblers, jugs, serving utensils, containers, tables and all other catering equipment in the dining and service areas
- To ensure food hygiene and health and safety regulations is adhered to at all times.

You will be required to work within a brilliant secondary school in Hartlepool with the opportunity to progress into other schools in Hartlepool and the surrounding areas.
Requirements
To be considered for the role of School Catering Assistant you will:
- Experience working with children or within a kitchen/catering setting

Salary
£10 to £11 per hour
Salary is dependent on experience, training or qualifications. The minimum experience, training or qualifications required for this position are:
- Experience working with children or within a kitchen/catering setting
