Contract Type: Temporary with potential for permanent placement
Salary: £31,650 to £43,606 per annum

Vision for Education is currently recruiting for a qualified and passionate Science Teacher to join a wonderful, dynamic and supportive team at a Secondary School in Gillingham. This is a fantastic opportunity to work within a school that is committed to fostering a stimulating learning environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality science lessons, contributing to curriculum development, and inspiring students across Key Stages 3 to 5.

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging Science lessons in line with the national curriculum.
• Teach Biology, Chemistry, or Physics (flexible based on specialism) to students aged 11-18.
• Monitor and assess students’ progress, providing constructive feedback.
• Manage classroom behaviour and maintain a positive learning atmosphere.
• Collaborate with colleagues to support curriculum planning and extra-curricular activities.
• Participate in staff meetings, training, and parent consultations.

Requirements:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification.
• Specialism in either Biology, Chemistry, or Physics is preferred.
• Strong subject knowledge and a passion for Science.
• Ability to inspire, engage, and challenge students to reach their full potential.
• Excellent classroom management and communication skills.
• Previous experience in a secondary school setting is desirable but not essential.
