Vision for Education are seeking those looking to for SEMH Teachers to work on supply. Working in schools in our local communities you will support children with Social, Emotional and Mental Health Needs.

About the role

About the role

As a SENH Teacher, you will be required to support the class in the delivery of lessons, whilst also providing support and guidance to the students in their variety of learning needs. Working with students with special educational needs is an extremely rewarding environment to work in, however can be challenging getting to know the needs of students and therefore this role benefits from consistency and continuity. Ideally for this role you will have had experience working with Social, Emotional and Mental Health needs of children or young adults, ASD, ADHA and moderate learning difficulties.

Vision for education currently work with a school in the Bristol area, that cater for needs including but not limited to SEMH, ASC, ADHA, MLD and EBD. This school is passionate about providing the best quality of education, care and specialist support for all their pupils and put them at the centre of everything they do. It is important that this is at the forefront of your values also. The school caters for children in primary years all the way through to secondary (KS3 – KS4).

Requirements

To be considered for the role of SEMH Teacher you will:

  • • Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) Primary or Secondary subject specialism
  • • Experience working with children with a variety of SEND/ SEMH needs
  • • Have previous experience within a similar specialist setting or strong transferable experience from a mainstream setting
  • • Have a genuine desire to become part of a committed team of SENH Teachers and LSA’s
  • • Have a passion for teaching with the ability to plan and deliver inspiring lessons
