Southend Primary Schools are seeking enthusiastic SEN Learning Support Assistants (LSAs) to join supportive and inclusive school teams from September 2026. This is a rewarding opportunity for individuals who are passionate about supporting children with Special Educational Needs (SEN) and helping them succeed in a nurturing primary school environment.

The Role:

• Providing in-class support for pupils with SEN needs
• Working closely with class teachers to adapt learning activities and resources
• Supporting pupils on a 1:1 basis and in small groups
• Encouraging confidence, independence, and engagement in learning
• Supporting behaviour management and pastoral care
• Full-time permanent role starting September 2026

The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

• Experience working with children (school-based experience desirable but not essential)
• A calm, patient, and supportive approach
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• A genuine passion for supporting children with additional needs
• An understanding of SEN such as autism, ADHD, or speech and language needs (desirable)
