Are you a caring, patient, and dedicated individual looking to make a real difference in children’s learning and development?
Southend Primary Schools are seeking enthusiastic SEN Learning Support Assistants (LSAs) to join supportive and inclusive school teams from September 2026. This is a rewarding opportunity for individuals who are passionate about supporting children with Special Educational Needs (SEN) and helping them succeed in a nurturing primary school environment.
The Role:
- Providing in-class support for pupils with SEN needs
- Working closely with class teachers to adapt learning activities and resources
- Supporting pupils on a 1:1 basis and in small groups
- Encouraging confidence, independence, and engagement in learning
- Supporting behaviour management and pastoral care
- Full-time permanent role starting September 2026
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
- Experience working with children (school-based experience desirable but not essential)
- A calm, patient, and supportive approach
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- A genuine passion for supporting children with additional needs
- An understanding of SEN such as autism, ADHD, or speech and language needs (desirable)
