About the role

One of our clients schools is urgently seeking support workers / carers with moving and handling training (in date) and experience in working with children or vulnerable adults for full time work within a York SEN school, Monday to Friday, during term time.

Working as part of an established team, the desired SEN Teaching Assistant will be supporting pupils with various levels of SEN, moving to different classes throughout the day . This is a long term role and potentially permanent.

Free on site parking. Easily accessible from all areas of York, Selby and Harrogate.

Requirements

To be considered for the role of SEN Support Worker you will:
  • Experience of working within a school or care setting with children or vulnerable adults
  • Moving and handling training and experience
  • MUST be able to commit to full time role, 37.5 hours per week, Monday - Friday, term time only
  • An enhanced DBS registered on the update service (or be happy to apply for one)
  • 2 references from previous employers

Salary

£11 to £12 per hour

Salary is dependent on experience, training or qualifications. The minimum experience, training or qualifications required for this position are:
  • Experience of working within a school or care setting with children or vulnerable adults
  • An enhanced DBS registered on the update service (or be happy to apply for one)
