About The School:

Vision For Education are working in partnership with a mainstream Primary School based in Aylesford for an SEN Teacher to support children with ASC/ASD needs to start in September 2024. The school is a thriving, inclusive school dedicated to providing high-quality education for all students. The dedicated staff work tirelessly to create a nurturing and stimulating atmosphere that caters to the diverse needs of our student body.

The Role:

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated SEN Teacher to join the school team. The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to supporting students with diverse learning needs and will be instrumental in helping to continue providing an inclusive and supportive educational environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan, prepare, and deliver high-quality lessons tailored to meet the individual needs of students with SEN.
  • Develop and implement Individual Education Plans (IEPs) in collaboration with other staff, parents, and external professionals.
  • Use a range of teaching strategies and resources to engage and support students with SEN in their learning.
  • Monitor and assess students' progress, providing regular feedback to students, parents, and staff.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages student participation and engagement.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to share best practices and develop innovative approaches to SEN teaching and learning.
  • Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance your skills and knowledge in SEN education.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
  • Experience working with children with SEN in a school setting.
  • A thorough understanding of SEN strategies, policies, and best practices.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
  • A proactive and flexible approach to teaching and learning.
  • Commitment to ongoing professional development.

Desirable:

  • A relevant SEN qualification or additional training.
  • Experience in developing and implementing IEPs.
  • Knowledge of current SEN legislation and frameworks.
