SEN Teaching Assistant.

  • Have you had any previous experience in working within the education and care sector?
  • Are you looking for short term or long-term position, working Monday to Friday 8.30am to 3.30pm with weekends and school holidays off?
  • How does a daily rate of £83.40 to £96.40 per day sound?

  • Does working with children and young people aged 3-19 interest you?
  • Do you hold a UK driving licence with access to your own vehicle?

We currently have a position in a special educational needs school based in Pentre. This role requires an individual who is highly enthusiastic and motivated by the opportunity to make a difference and impact these children’s lives. The school are looking for an individual who is passionate

Ideally the candidate will have had experience and a good understanding of working with pupils who have severe learning difficulties. Any additional qualifications or knowledge is most definitely desirable but it not essential.

It is a requirement of this role that an enhanced DBS check will be required prior to starting this role.

Responsibilities:

  • Confident in being able to work on a 1:1 basis or a small group with children with a range of different needs.
  • Support pupil with their physical and personal care needs.
  • Be able to promote a positive environment ensuring an inclusive learning atmosphere.
  • Encourage and promote positive behaviour alongside positive relationships with students, parents and carers.
  • Promote independence and care where required.
  • Works well as part of a team.
  • The ability to remain calm when faced with pressured situations.
  • Willingness to learn and develop their skills and knowledge to meet the needs of the children.
