This is a fantastic opportunity to work in a school that makes a real difference to the lives of young people with Autism. This specialist school setting is seeking a SEND (Autism) Teacher who is able to deliver the curriculum to small classes of children with moderate to severe learning difficulties including Autism. The school caters for the needs of young people from primary and secondary age young people, delivering the curriculum in a much more specialised and personalised fashion. The school are looking for a SEND (Autism) Teacher who will build positive and nurturing relationships with learners to engage them with their lessons and ensure the best possible outcomes.
Requirements
The desired SEND (Autism) Teacher will:
- Promote outstanding progress and outcomes by pupils both academically and socially.
- Develop students’ self-belief and confidence in their own abilities.
- Teach pupils according to their educational needs, including the setting and marking of work carried out by the pupil in school and elsewhere.
