SEND Teaching Assistant required for Part-time post in the Kings Lynn area

About the role

SEND Teaching Assistant

We are looking for a compassionate and commited SEND Teaching Assistant to work in a small, rural school who have a well-established proactive staff team that are committed to the education of the whole child.

At this school you will find a warm and friendly atmosphere, with a purposeful learning environment.

This school aims to provide happy and supportive surroundings for the children in their are and have in place a wide range of learning experiences to ensure the full growth and development of the child – physically, intellectually, socially and morally.

We are looking for an enthusiastic, creative and dynamic SEND teaching assistant to work within the EYFS classroom. Your role will be to support all children but particularly those requiring SEN provision.

The role includes supporting pupils to learn alongside their peers and action targets on their support plans, liaise with the SENCo on strategies to support and develop knowledge of SEND to support an ethos of inclusion across the school.

We are looking for someone who:

Is passionate about working with children.

Has experience of working with children with SEND.

Has experience of working within a primary school setting

Is creative and can think on their feet.

Has excellent numeracy/ literacy skills.

Works well as part of a team.

Has a clear understanding of safeguarding and keeping children safe in education.
