The School and Role
This small post 16 based setting in the Rotherham educates young people aged 15 to 19 with ASC (Autism Spectrum conditions) communication and interaction difficulties and complex behaviours
This role requires a highly motivated, adaptable, committed, enthusiastic and resilient Teaching Assistant with great communication skills and a proactive approach to supporting the Class Teacher. You will have experience working with young people with Special Educational Needs. You will work as part of a dedicated and committed team that have a child-centred approach in all they do.
Requirements
The desired SEND Teaching Assistant will have;
- Experience of working with post 16 aged young people
- Experience of working with pupils with SEND and complex needs
- A sound understanding of communication difficulties and behaviours that challenge
- Resilient, gentle, creative, and playful
