Vision for Education are currently looking for Sports Graduates to work inside the classroom across Special Needs Schools in Stockport.

This role is to start as soon as possible and can be either full time or part time dependent on your situation.

The Role

  • This role will require you to work in the capacity of a Teaching Assistant providing vital support to both teachers and pupils in a range of subjects
  • You will have the opportunity to bring in your knowledge and experience of sports to engage students in learning
  • You will need to be proactive in building positive relationships to help each student get the most out of their time in education
  • Under the direction of a teacher, or through following your own initiative you may need to implement small group or 1:1 interventions

  • The schools in Stockport we work with provide bespoke, child-centred education for children with a range of SEND and SEMH needs
  • The schools are well-established and therefore you will have access to a supportive and nurturing team of colleagues
  • They promote a progressive environment where each student is respected and valued
  • Class sizes will vary with no more than 8 students per class
  • There are opportunities for the role to become permanent with the school after a qualifying period

Requirements

To be considered for the role of Sports Graduate you will:
  • Have an understanding and positive personality, with a strong ability to us your initiative
  • Have a background of working in or a passion for sports
  • Be patient, engaging and calm when under pressure

Salary

£350 to £400 per week

Salary is dependent on experience, training or qualifications. The minimum experience, training or qualifications required for this position are:
  • Have relevant experience OF working with children or young people
