A fantastic opportunity to join a very good school in Tameside. The successful English Teacher will join a dedicated team of staff in a school with minimal disruption. This full-time role will start in January 2025 and will continue until Easter 2025

As an outstanding classroom practitioner, with a drive to improve the life chances of young people through education, the successful applicant:

• Must be able to motivate, challenge and inspire pupils to succeed in English

• Must be committed to improving the outcomes for all pupils

• Will hold high expectations of themselves and pupils

• Will have excellent communication skills and the ability to develop and improve practice in themselves and others

• Will be up to date with relevant pedagogy and apply this to their teaching

The successful applicant will be teaching across Key Stage 3 (KS3) and Key Stage 4 (KS4)

This full-time teaching role is to start in January 2025 and will continue until Easter 2025.

Requirements

To be considered for the role of Teacher of English you will:

  • Hold a recognised teaching qualification (QTS/PGCE/QTLS)
  • Be able to motivate, inspire and challenge students
  • Be able to provide suitable references, a valid DBS Check and hold the Right to Work in the UK

Salary is dependent on experience, training or qualifications. The minimum experience, training or qualifications required for this position are:

  • Relevant secondary teaching experience
