About the role

Would you relish the opportunity to share your knowledge, skills and passion for the subject with bright young individuals? We are currently looking to appoint an enthusiastic and passionate Teacher of History to share their skill set with our client secondary schools and join our team of committed supply staff, around the Wigan and surrounding areas.

We work with most of the Secondary Schools and Sixth Form Colleges across Manchester and further afield for those who may be happy to travel. Requirements

To be considered for the role of Teacher of History you will:
  • Be a passionate and innovative Teacher of History with experience teaching Key Stage 3 (KS3), Key Stage 4 (KS4) and/or Key Stage 5 (KS5).
  • Have a genuine desire to become part of a committed team of secondary teachers who put children at the heart of everything they do.
  • Have a passion for teaching with the ability to plan and deliver inspiring lessons.
  • Have high expectations of students and staff alike.

All staff we register will undertake thorough interviewing and referencing checks and hold, or be prepared to undergo, an Enhanced DBS check that must be registered on the Update Service.

Salary

£100 to £165 per day

Salary is dependent on experience, training or qualifications.

  • Recent experience teaching within a secondary school in the last 2 years for at least 2 weeks.
  • Hold Qualified Teacher Status - QTS or QTLS
