The School and Role
An Alternative Provision school based in Bournemouth are currently seeking a Teaching Assistant to start as soon as possible. The school caters for primary age pupils with social, emotional, and mental health needs, as well as challenging behaviour.
The successful SEMH Support Assistant will be required to work 1-1 or in small classes ranging from Year 1 to Year 6, assisting pupils academically as well as overcoming barriers to learning and supporting them emotionally.
Requirements
The desired Teaching Assistant will have;
- Experience of working with primary school aged children
- Experience of working with pupils with SEND/SEMH/challenging behaviour
- A passion for the progress of pupils
- An ability to work as part of a team
