Position: Trainee Teaching Assistant – Newport

About the Role:
- Provide essential support to students in both group and one-on-one settings, focusing on behaviour management and emotional well-being.
- Foster an inclusive classroom environment where all students feel valued, supported, and empowered to grow both socially and emotionally.
- Gain valuable experience working with students who have a range of needs, including SEMH, ADHD, and anxiety-related challenges.
- Help implement effective strategies that encourage positive behaviour, emotional growth, and resilience.
- Build strong and trusting relationships with students, staff, and parents to create a supportive, collaborative atmosphere.
- Support students in developing their social skills, emotional understanding, and personal resilience.
The Ideal Candidate:
- Enthusiastic about making a real difference in the lives of students with SEMH, ADHD, and anxiety-related challenges.
- Able to build meaningful, trusting relationships with students, ensuring they feel supported and encouraged.
- Motivational and inspiring, with a natural ability to help students achieve their full potential.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to connect with students, staff, and parents in a compassionate and effective manner.
- Passionate about working in a special educational needs (SEND) environment and committed to helping students overcome their challenges.
- Available to work 5 days a week, between 8:30 am and 3:30 pm.
- EWC Registered (we can help you with this if you haven’t registered yet).
