About the role
Immediate Start
Vision for Education are working with Secondary schools in Burnley & Blackburn to recruit friendly and enthusiastic Teaching Assistants, to start immediately. Working hours are to suit your own personal preference and can be as little or as much as you require.
The role
The role of a Teaching Assistant is vital in the day-to-day running of a secondary school. The best Teaching Assistants have excellent communication skills and are able to build positive relationships with pupils and staff, quickly and effectively.
Depending on the role and the school, you will be working with the class teacher to manage behaviour, support with interventions, and provide additional support to children with SEND (special educational needs and disabilities).
You will assist the class teacher with recording and reporting on pupil progress and behaviour, and help ensure that children are making good progress in the classroom.
Experience is desirable but is not essential, as we can offer training through Vision For Education’s National Teaching Assistant Programme (NTAP). This programme will provide those with no current school experience training and CPD as well as a paid placement within one of our partner schools to help start your new career as a Teaching Assistant.
The school
Vision For Education works with a multitude of schools in Burnley & Blackburn (Lancashire) and the surrounding areas. We have built long standing relationships with schools and as such are called upon regularly for cover from teachers and support staff.
