About the role
Part-Time Y5 Teacher
Location: DL1, Darlington
Hours: 3 days per week, 8:30 AM - 3:30 PM
Salary: Competitive, dependent on experience
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging and differentiated lessons in accordance with the national curriculum.
- Assess and monitor students' progress, providing constructive feedback and support to ensure academic growth.
- Create a positive and stimulating classroom environment that encourages student participation and engagement.
- Develop and implement strategies to meet the diverse needs of all students, including those with special educational needs.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues, parents, and caregivers to support students' learning and development.
- Maintain accurate records of students' progress and contribute to reports and parent meetings.
- Uphold and promote the school's values and ethos, contributing to the wider school community.
Requirements:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and experience teaching at the primary level, preferably in Y5.
- Strong knowledge of the national curriculum and effective teaching practices.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to inspire and motivate students, fostering a love for learning.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Commitment to continuous professional development and reflective practice.
- Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one) and satisfactory references.
