Vision for Education are looking for resilient and passionate Youth Offending Officers to work in a specialized provision, catering for some of the area's most disengaged young learners.
About the role
The role of a Young Offending Officer is to support young people to access education Monday to Friday between 08:30 and 16:00. The successful candidate should be available Monday to Friday and be willing to work some evenings and weekends. This would be an amazing opportunity for somebody who wants to make a difference to young people’s lives from the most deprived and backgrounds, that in some cases have suffered major trauma.
About the school
The school caters for students aged between 11-16, who have been excluded from mainstream education and who may have a diagnosis of SEMH. The students will be actively involved in street crime and may be part of the youth offending system.
Requirements
- You will have experience in dealing with difficult and challenging behaviours.
- You will have experience supporting in education or in care.
- You will have a passion for changing young people's lives for the better.
- You will have experience working with Social, Emotional and Mental Health Difficulties.
- You will be available 5 days per week.

Salary
£300 to £400 per week
