About the role

Vison for Education are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Tutor supporting learners with a range of special educational needs and disabilities. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a meaningful impact by delivering tailored, engaging, and inclusive education to students who require additional support to reach their full potential.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver personalised learning programmes that meet individual student needs
  • Employability and workplace awareness where appropriate
  • Functional English and Maths embedded within everyday learning activities
  • Confidence building, wellbeing and life skills development
  • Adapt teaching methods and resources to support a variety of learning styles and abilities
  • Support students with EHCPs (Education, Health and Care Plans)
  • Foster a safe, inclusive, and positive learning environment
  • Monitor and track student progress, providing regular feedback
  • Work collaboratively with parents, carers, and other professionals
  • Support students’ emotional wellbeing and promote independence

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or relevant teaching experience
  • Experience working with SEND students (preferred)
  • Patience and strong communication skills

About you:

To be considered for the Tutor role, you will:

Hold suitable qualifications, QTS/PGCE or relevant teaching experience

Have strong communications skills with the ability to quickly build rapport with students

Able to obtain suitable references and a DBS check.
