About the Role
As an Art & Design Teacher, you will deliver engaging and high-quality lessons either in the absence of the regular teacher or as part of a longer-term placement. You will support students in developing their creative skills, artistic techniques, and understanding of different media and processes, while maintaining high standards of behaviour and learning.

Key Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality Art & Design lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4 (and potentially KS5)
- Encourage creativity, independence, and confidence in students’ artistic work
- Support students in developing skills across a range of media, techniques, and processes
- Adapt teaching to meet the needs of all learners
- Maintain a positive, inclusive, and creative classroom environment
- Manage behaviour in line with school policies
- Assess and monitor student progress where required
- Provide feedback to teaching staff and departments
Requirements
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
- Experience teaching Art & Design in UK secondary schools
- Strong classroom and behaviour management skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to inspire and motivate students of all abilities
- Flexibility and adaptability across different school environments
- A genuine passion for Art, creativity, and student development
