We are currently recruiting Art & Design Teachers in Telford to work across a range of secondary schools in the area.

About the Role

As an Art & Design Teacher, you will deliver engaging and high-quality lessons either in the absence of the regular teacher or as part of a longer-term placement. You will support students in developing their creative skills, artistic techniques, and understanding of different media and processes, while maintaining high standards of behaviour and learning.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality Art & Design lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4 (and potentially KS5)
• Encourage creativity, independence, and confidence in students’ artistic work
• Support students in developing skills across a range of media, techniques, and processes
• Adapt teaching to meet the needs of all learners
• Maintain a positive, inclusive, and creative classroom environment
• Manage behaviour in line with school policies
• Assess and monitor student progress where required
• Provide feedback to teaching staff and departments

Requirements

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
• Experience teaching Art & Design in UK secondary schools
• Strong classroom and behaviour management skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to inspire and motivate students of all abilities
• Flexibility and adaptability across different school environments
• A genuine passion for Art, creativity, and student development
