The role

Care to Classroom Support Workers are needed across specialist SEND and SEMH schools in Birmingham, providing vital support to pupils with complex needs, autism and behavioural difficulties. This opportunity is ideal for individuals with experience in care, residential settings, or support work who are looking to build a rewarding career in education. In this role, you will assist pupils with personal care, behaviour management, and classroom participations, helping to create a safe, structured and positive learning environment where every child can thrive.

Requirements

The desired Care to Classroom Support Worker will have:

  • Experience in care, residential or support settings
  • A willingness to support personal care
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • A calm, resilient and proactive approach
  • A passion for supporting children and young people with SEND
    About you:

To be considered for the Care to Classroom Support Worker, you will:

Hold suitable qualifications such as Youth Work, Health and Social Care or Supporting Teaching and Learning in Schools are desired but not essential.

Have strong communications skills with the ability to quickly build rapport with students

Able to obtain suitable references and a DBS check.
