Primary Class Teacher – SEN School (Complex ASC)

Vision for Education is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Primary Class Teacher to join a specialist SEN school supporting pupils with complex Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC) in Bristol. The Role

The successful candidate will:

• Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons tailored to the individual needs of pupils with complex ASC.
• Create a calm, structured and nurturing classroom environment.
• Support pupils' communication, social development and independence.
• Use a range of teaching strategies to promote engagement and positive learning experiences.
• Work collaboratively with teaching assistants, therapists and the wider multidisciplinary team.
• Monitor and assess pupil progress, adapting learning to meet individual EHCP targets.

Requirements

To be considered for the role, you will:

• Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
• Have experience teaching within a primary setting.
• Have experience working with pupils with Autism Spectrum Condition or other special educational needs (desirable but not essential).
• Be patient, adaptable and committed to inclusive education.
• Have strong behaviour management and communication skills.
• Hold an enhanced DBS on the Update Service or be willing to obtain one.
• Be committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
