The Role -
- Provide one-to-one support for pupils within the classroom, assisting with their academic, emotional, and social development.
- Plan and deliver personalised, engaging activities tailored to each student’s individual needs, interests, and abilities, adapting resources where necessary.
- Work collaboratively with teachers and other professionals within the school environment to support pupil progress and wellbeing.
- Support the maintenance of a safe and inclusive learning environment, assisting both pupils and staff whenever required.
- Remain informed about the daily routines and individual needs of pupils in your care to help ensure a consistent, supportive, and comfortable school experience.

- A caring, patient, and enthusiastic individual with a passion for supporting children and young people.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- The ability to build positive relationships with pupils, staff, and families.
- A flexible and proactive approach to meeting the diverse needs of learners.
- Previous experience in an educational or support setting is desirable but not essential.
The school –
- Caters to children and young adults aged between 4 and 19 with complex needs.
- All students require an EHCP plan which will be followed accordingly.
- The school has a history of high achievement with Outstanding inspections.
About you -
To be considered for the Classroom Support Assistant role, you will:
Hold suitable qualifications such as Youth Work, Health and Social Care or Supporting Teaching and Learning in Schools are desired but not essential.
Have strong communications skills with the ability to quickly build rapport with students
Able to obtain suitable references and a DBS check.
