Cover Supervisor - Primary Schools (East Bristol)

Vision for Education are seeking a confident and reliable Cover Supervisor to work across mainstream primary schools in East Bristol, providing essential classroom cover when needed.

This is a flexible, ad-hoc role, ideal for a Cover Supervisor who enjoys working with children and wants variety in their working week. You will step into classrooms to deliver pre-set work and maintain a positive learning environment in the absence of the class teacher.

About the Cover Supervisor Role

As a Cover Supervisor, you will support primary schools across East Bristol by covering lessons during teacher absence. You will not be required to plan lessons, but you will ensure pupils remain engaged and on task.

This Cover Supervisor role is perfect for individuals with experience working with children who are confident managing groups and maintaining classroom behaviour.

Responsibilities of the Cover Supervisor

As a Cover Supervisor, you will:

• Supervise whole classes during teacher absence
• Deliver pre-prepared work set by the class teacher
• Maintain a positive and safe classroom environment as a Cover Supervisor
• Manage behaviour in line with school policies
• Support pupils with their learning where needed
• Ensure a calm and productive classroom atmosphere
